GED Application and Testing Info

*If you are interested in taking free adult basic education classes to prepare for the GED® exam, contact the Adult Learning Center at 918-540-6292 or 1-888-GO-GO-NEO.

Obtaining a GED certificate can serve many purposes and expand opportunities.  If you desire to take the GED examination or a GED retest at NEO, you must be a resident of Oklahoma.

Application Process:
To register and pay for your GED® test, you will need to visit the website www.gedcomputer.com. You will choose your testing date and times through this site also. You will still need to come into the testing center to take the actual test. You will need to bring an official photo identification such as a drivers license with you on the day of your testing. You must be at least 16 years of age to take the GED.  If you are 16 or 17 years of age, you will also need to submit a release form.  There is a link to that form on the left side of the screen as well. Please call 918-540-6292 for more information about that form.  If a third party will pay for your test, you will need to contact that party to arrange for them to give you a voucher number so you may register at the website.

Schedule:
The NEO testing center offers the GED test approximately once per calendar month.  The exam can be administered in one full day or over a couple of evenings.  You will be given 10 minute breaks between subject matter tests.  Make sure and schedule yourself a break for lunch if you desire one.

Score Reporting:
You will receive your unofficial scores as you exit the testing center for all but your writing score. That should follow in a few days via email or by checking the website. You will receive your GED diploma from the Oklahoma Department of Education approximately 2-6 weeks after your test date.  Transcripts are not sent to individuals who do not pass the test.  If you have a question, call 918-540-6292.
