The United Way recently recognized Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) as one of the 2013 Outstanding Businesses by being the top contributors to Ottawa County United Way. Others who were recognized included the City of Miami, First National Bank, Hopkins Manufacturing, Integris Baptist Regional, Kansas Gas, Miami Public Schools, Newell Coach and Tracker Marine.

The art department at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) is working on the restoration of “Visual Reflections,” a mural painted for Miami’s Centennial celebration in 1991 by NEO students, community members and the late Dr. Nick Calcagno, former chair of the art department.
