For the first time in school history, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, (NEO) will partner with the (AQHA) American Quarter Horse Association, by hosting horsemanship camps in Europe during the months of June and July.
Three NEO students were selected to participate in the camps and travel across four countries as part of a grant the agriculture department received. The students selected were Jackie Reed of Cave-in-Rock, Ill., Becca Gagan of Lenapah, Okla., and Brittney Fund of Sanger, Calif.
All three students are graduates of the NEO agriculture program. NEO’s Presidential Partners recently donated $1,500 to help defray the cost of the trip. Accompanying the students are chair of the agriculture department Shannon Cunningham and equestrian coach Chelsie Huseman.
