Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO), has announced that Tucker Link, chairman of the OSU/A&M Board of Regents, will serve as the commencement speaker for the 2014 NEO graduation ceremony. Graduation will take place Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 8 p.m. in the Student Activity Center.
Link serves as Chairman of Knightsbridge Investments Limited and its entirely owned subsidiaries and affiliates. Under his executive leadership, Knightsbridge has expanded into different industries such as chemicals, renewable energy, registered Angus and beef genetics and real estate. He also is the managing director of KiamichiLink Ranch LLC, one of the premier registered Angus operations in the U.S., which is located in Finley, Okla.
Link was named the 2013 Trustee of the Year by the Rural Community College Alliance based on his time, generosity, and his passionate advocating to rural life in America all while contributing to provide the best student experience at NEO.
“Chairman Link and his wife Vickie have been so generous to NEO students and faculty. Their passion for young people and education has created some remarkable opportunities for our students and teachers,” said Dr. Jeff Hale, NEO president. “We are honored and excited to have Regent Link provide the 2014 commencement address.”
In the spring of 2012, Chairman Link hosted the first competition between Connors State College (CSC), and NEO at KiamichiLink Ranch LCC, where the teams consisted of six classes of high quality angus cattle, bulls, heifers, and a class of cow-calf pairs. The teams were also shown other herd sires and strong foundation females from the herd as well. This year it will be held on April 28 and is the third annual event.
Link and his wife Vickie have two children and five grandchildren and have been married for more than 43 years.
