Cheryl Butler

Welcome to my web page!  I have been here at NEO for 15 years.  I currently teach Psychology classes and coordinate services for students with disabilities. Before teaching full-time, I was the Director of Counseling  here on campus.  I attended NEO after high school graduation and then moved on to Pittsburg State University where I received my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in psychology.

I currently teach General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Social Psychology, as well as  freshman orientation classes. I am also the sponsor for the Psychology Club.

I am the contact person for students with disabilities.  I work with these students and faculty to ensure they get the academic accommodations to be successful in their classes. In order to receive these accommodations, a student must provide my office with professional documentation of their disability, such as a copy of any evaluations by school professionals or doctors, and must request accommodations for their classes.

I live in Miami, with my husband and numerous pets.  I enjoy NEO and the many activities and events provided.  Prior to coming to NEO, I was a mental health professional in the area.
