Brenda Lucas, Business Instructor

Brenda has been employed at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, Miami, Oklahoma, since 2004.  She is a business instructor teaching accounting, statistics, marketing, management and first year experience.  Brenda was the Phi Theta Kappa Mu Chapter’s advisor from August, 2004 until May 2011.  Brenda is an alumnus of NEO receiving an associate’s degree in 1980.  After graduation she moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and worked in various accounting opportunities.  She was employed with Amoco Corporation in 1986 and worked in the accounting department and Pipeline Company until 2000.  Brenda received a bachelor’s degree in accounting while working for Amoco from LangstonUniversity through the University Center of Tulsa in 1993.  Returning home to Afton to assist with the family business she took the Oklahoma teaching exam and received a teaching certificate in December 2003.  She continued her education, receiving a master degree in accounting and finance from Northeastern State University, Broken Arrow in 2008.    Brenda has been blessed with one daughter, Jessica, who is married to Michael Robinson.  Brenda and her family resides in Afton living near Grand Lake.
