2013 NEO & Miami Auto Super Center Homecoming Parade Entry Form

Parade is October 5, 2013 at 10:00a.m.

All entries must be submitted to Kathryn Vanover, Box 3850 or Student Union Bookstore or by email at kathryn.vanover@neo.edu Application deadline is:  September 26, 2013

All entries will be judged by a panel of judges consisting of community leaders. Cash awards will be given based on fulfilling the requirements of the use of theme “Fear the Norsemen.” Prizes to be given away total $600.00

Shopping cart decoration is a new entry this year.  Carts will be provided by the Homecoming Committee.  We have 12 carts available, so they are limited.  Early entry is suggested.


2013 NEO Homecoming Parade Guidelines

Entry is due Thursday, September 26, 2013.

The following rules and guidelines are to be met by all entrants in the 2013 Homecoming Parade.  Deadline is Thursday, September 26, 2013.  Descriptions of entries are due at that time as well.  No late entries will be accepted.  Questions may be directed to the Homecoming Parade Committee Chair: Kathryn Vanover (Kathryn.vanover@neo.edu or 540-6388).

Float entries are defined as a decorated exhibit or scene mounted on a mobile platform and pulled in a parade

The Decorated Vehicle and Shopping Cart categories have been designed as an alternative for entering a float. Clubs are invited to decorate a vehicle of their choosing. Clubs are encouraged to walk with the vehicle, throw candy, etc. Each vehicle, float, shopping cart or group must be clearly identified with a full size poster board, with their club/group name.

Lineup schedule will be sent to the email address provided on the entry form, so you must submit a current email address.

Parade will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. and will follow a route beginning at I NE and Central, to 4th Ave NE to the stadium.
