Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY 

The Offensive/Recruiting Coordinator is responsible to the Head Football Coach for assisting in the management of a varsity intercollegiate sports program and team. Specific responsibilities include supervising the offense, coaching an offensive position, and coordinating and implementing our incoming and outgoing recruiting plan as delegated by the head coach.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  • Coaches’ offense and implements the plan and philosophy for the offense
  • Responsible for preparing all aspects of the offensive plan and scheme as delegated by the head coach
  • Helps develop the recruiting strategy and calendar
  • Assists head coach in the day-to-day operation of the program
  • Expected to become knowledgeable in Oklahoma High School Football recruiting
  • Demonstrates an active interest in the academic progress of student athletes
  • Assists with the coordination and overseeing of completed financial aid paperwork admission criteria and eligibility certifications
  • Responsible for recruiting specific schools in the state of Oklahoma delegated by the Head Coach
  • Prepares the offensive scouting reports
  • Works proficiently with multiple computer software systems daily
  • Coordinates incoming recruiting visits and outgoing recruiting communications
  • Instructs proper skills and skill development to student-athletes
  • Works under the supervision of the head coach
  • Keeps an organized and proper workspace
  • Shows up on time for scheduled meetings and events
  • Other duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Previous experience in coaching
  • Ability to supervise assistant coaches
  • Knowledge of computer applications, including that for recruiting and video analysis
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work weekends & evenings, and to travel

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lead recruiting visits with great energy and enthusiasm
  • Demonstrated successful recruiting ability
