Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for minor corrective/preventive maintenance and general repairs as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Performs various minor corrective/preventive repairs as assigned for HVAC and building appliances
  • Maintains minor inventory of items such as air filters and equipment parts
  • Conducts inspections and cleaning of equipment rooms and maintains the swimming pool system
  • May perform corrective repairs to sump pumps and other minor plumbing fixtures as assigned
  • Completes assigned work orders as needed and may assist other departments in repairs
  • Perform any other maintenance duties or tasks as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Trade school or related college experience preferred
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a working cell phone
  • Must pass a background check

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to pay attention to the details of a project or task
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more, be able to stand and/or walk 8 hours a day
  • Must be familiar with all common hand tools and their uses be able to operate a meter
  • Ability to climb and maneuver a 30-foot ladder and be comfortable with heights
