Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

This position serves as coordinator of the CCAMPIS grant program, working directly with student-parents, childcare providers, Financial Aid and the general public. Computer skills, strong customer service skills and cultural competency are required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Serve as the coordinator, and point-person for students and prospective students, in need of childcare services and other basic needs for NEO’s CCAMPIS grant;
  • Working closely with Kahne Learning Academy staff, maintain an application for childcare fee assistance for low-income students, manage the transfer of funds from the grant to the students’ childcare accounts;
  • Maintain accurate records of participants served by the CCAMPIS grant and manage grant reporting requirements for the Department of Education;
  • Utilize a pro-active appreciative advising approach when assisting students, and prospective students, who are juggling school with parenting responsibilities;
  • Maintain a repository of campus, tribal and community resources available to help meet students’ academic and basic needs;
  • Maintain a web presence and create/distribute promotional materials for the CCAMPIS program;
  • Monitor the grant budget to ensure funds are spent as proposed;
  • Maintain an accurate spreadsheet of expenses for the CCAMPIS grant;
  • Manage purchasing, personnel and childcare aid disbursement processes;
  • Supervise a student employee assistant; 
  • Participate in professional development; 
  • Keep accurate documentation and assist with data collection/grant reporting; 
  • Update surveys and application forms on an annual basis; 
  • Other duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree required
  • An Early Childcare Education credential is preferred
  • Computer skills
  • People skills
  • Ability to multi-task
