Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides long-range strategic leadership and day-to-day administration of the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College Foundation. Responsible for developing and implementing a fundraising program to include annual giving, major gifts, foundation/corporate giving, and planned giving.  Additionally, responsible for overall campus communications, marketing and branding activity for the College. Reports to the College President; and works in collaboration with the Foundation Board of Directors, and other departments within the college.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for generating support for the College through alumni engagement, donor cultivation, annual giving, planning giving and events
  • Develop strong working relationships with community leaders throughout the region and the Foundation board to achieve annual fundraising goals
  • Work with administrators to identify, develop, and implement appropriate fundraising strategies to address College priorities
  • Plan and oversee major cultivation events and activities
  • Develop written gift proposals, gift agreements, and stewardship reports
  • Provide direction to the NEO Foundation, ensuring a strong and active board that is goal-driven and is a strong advocate for the College
  • Ensures Foundation operations are in compliance with its bylaws and governance manual
  • Responsible for monthly communications to alumni and friends
  • Manages and supervises all marketing and public relations activities including but not limited to advertising, publication design (digital and print), video production, social media, news releases and website.
  • Serve as a member of the President’s Executive Council
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Evening and weekend commitments and the ability to travel are required

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, and detail oriented
  • Leadership, management and supervisory experience
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with multiple and diverse groups
  • Three to five years of fundraising experience, or closely related experience, preferably in higher education
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and manage multiple tasks under competing deadlines and shifting priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, written and oral
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team structure
