PURPOSE OF POSITION

To assist K-6th grade students with reading skills

JOB DUTIES

  • Work directly with K-6th grade students to help improve their reading skills
  • Tutors perform one-on-one work with individual students, small groups, or classroom activities as directed by the classroom teacher.
  • Assist classroom teachers to assess the needs of students related to reading skills
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School graduate/GED
  • Current NEO A & M student in good Academic Standing
  • Basic typing and computer skills

EVALUATION PROCEDURES

  • Performance of job duties will be evaluated on an ongoing basis by office staff.
  • Special attention will be paid to the following:
    • Getting to work on time for scheduled shifts
    • Accuracy of work performed
    • Appropriate use of time while at work
    • Maintaining confidentiality of student information
    • Following assigned work schedule

SCHEDULE

  • The school will work around the student’s schedule to create an appropriate work schedule.
  • School is open Monday – Friday 8:05am to 3:35pm
