At the rodeo, Lakin Cunningham competed in goat roping where she tied for second and third place, and Colbi Freeman competed in breakaway roping where she placed fourth. Brody Tunks competed in calf roping, at which he placed fifth, and Treydon Larmon and Gus Albertson competed in team roping where they placed fourth.

“I was very pleased with the way our team competed at K-State,” said NEO Rodeo head coach Kolby Ungeheuer. “We are very young this year and we competed very well with all the other junior college teams. I have no doubt we will keep getting stronger as a team as the season moves forward. It was very exciting to have five students in the finals, they represented us well.”

The next rodeo on the NEO schedule is the Colby Community College Rodeo. The teams will head to Colby, Kansas to compete on September 12-14.
