Officials at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) announced Mr. Chad Davis as a co-recipient of this year’s Outstanding Young Alumni award. Davis will be formally honored during the Alumni Awards luncheon on Saturday, Oct. 5, at noon in the Calcagno Family Ballroom. All alumni and friends of the college are invited to attend. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 12 and under, and may be purchased by contacting the NEO Development Foundation office at 918-540-6115. NEO’s “HOMEcoming on the Range” homecoming festivities will take place on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019.
Originally from Picher, Okla., Chad Davis is the Director of Athletics for Miami Public Schools. Attending NEO out of high school, he transferred to Pittsburg State University earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education in May 2011. He then earned a Master of Science in Sports Management and Leisure Service in 2013. Starting in 2009, Davis served as a Golden Norsemen Assistant Football Coach and Student Activity Center Coordinator. In 2014, he became the Director of Football Operations, a position he held until 2017. While working at NEO, Davis earned a reverse transfer Associate of Arts in General Studies and Associate of Science in Physical Education from NEO.
Davis became the Director of Athletics in 2017, where he is tasked with athletics management for 16 programs in grades 6-12. His responsibilities include management of nearly three dozen coaching staff members. He is also active in regional athletics and has led fundraising for Miami Wardog Athletics, served as the vice-chair of the Wardog Legend Committee, and served as the Game Day Manager for the Midwest Classic Bowl. He was inducted into the Oklahoma Eight Man Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2014. Davis and his wife Amanda, also an NEO Outstanding Alumni Award recipient, live in Miami with their children, Seth and Sayler. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family at after school activities.
