• All area adults are invited to Destination NEO Evening on Thursday, July 25, 2013.

• There is no cost to attend.

• An opportunity to learn more about financial aid, scholarships, admission, enrollment and campus life.

• Refreshments will be served.

• Early childhood development staff will be on site to assist with childcare.

Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, (NEO) will host area adults to during Destination NEO Evening on Thursday, July 25 at 6 p.m.  Anyone interested in learning more about NEO’s 43 academic programs, five residence halls and dozens of clubs and organizations is invited to attend.  Additionally, all in attendance will be able to investigate and enjoy the numerous changes and updates around campus. Information regarding financial aid, scholarships, admissions, enrollment, and campus events will also be available.  There is no cost to attend Destination NEO Evening, and all who participate will be eligible for door prizes.

“This is the first time we have hosted an event like this here at NEO, but we recognize the need for adults to be able to examine programs designed to fit their busy lives and by hosting the event during the evening we feel it would encourage more to come learn about what we have to offer,” said Scott Donaldson, director of student recruitment. “It’s an amazing opportunity to be able to offer adults a chance to learn everything they need to know about NEO, from financial aid to enrolling in classes, all in one location in a single evening.”

Destination NEO Evening will begin at 6 p.m. with registration located in the lobby of the Calcagno Family Ballroom inside the Student Union. Students will have the opportunity to visit with faculty advisors.  In addition, NEO College recruiters will offer tours of the campus and its facilities. Donaldson said that there has been an increase in adults going back to college over the recent years, and this evening will be dedicated specifically for those adults who are interested in doing the same.   Pre-registration for Destination NEO Evening is encouraged but not mandatory.
