Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) hosted the annual Area Wide College Fair on Sept. 26, in the Student Activity Center. Over 600 area high school students attended to meet with recruiters from schools like the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, the University of Alabama, and the University of Arkansas, along with several other regional institutions.
“This was one of the largest college fairs we have ever had and it is certainly one of the largest in the state of Oklahoma each year,” said Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Director of Recruitment Scott Donaldson. “We’re close to our neighboring states, so that makes our fair attractive to students and recruiters alike. We had 34 colleges and several military branches set up booths to provide information to students.”
NEO now prepares to host Junior/Senior Day as part of its commitment to area high school outreach. On October 24, high school juniors and seniors have an opportunity to learn more about NEO through breakout sessions, a student organization fair, campus tours, scholarship consultations, and more. Participants will receive a free lunch and t-shirt for attending. Students can register for Junior/Senior Day by visiting NEO.edu and following the link in the middle of the home page.
