Officials at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) are announcing that Mr. Bill Osborn, president of Osborn Drugs, Inc., will deliver the keynote address at this year’s commencement. The event is set for Thurs. May 10, at 7 p.m. at Red Robertson Field. In the event of rain, the ceremony will relocate to the Student Activity Center.
Mr. Osborn is a graduate of Miami High School, NEO, a two-time graduate of the
University of Oklahoma, and has worked with the family owned Osborn Drugs since 1974. In 2000, he became president of the company after serving as a vice president and staff pharmacist. Mr. Osborn is an engaged member of the business community and he currently is the president-elect of the National Community Pharmacist Association and sits of the boards of JM Farms, Inc. and First National Bank & Trust of Miami. He is also heavily involved in community groups, having served as the president of the Miami Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, and Area Economic Development Service. Mr. Osborn was recently recognized by the American College of Apothecaries with the J. Leon Lascoff Award for Outstanding Service to the Profession of Pharmacy and was named the Ralph D. Bienfang Outstanding Practitioner by the OU College of Pharmacy in 2016. Mr. Osborn and his wife Jane Goldenberg Osborn have been married for 32 years and have two sons: Ben and Jack.
“We are so honored that Bill agreed to address the 2018 NEO graduates, faculty, and guests,” said Dr. Jeff Hale, NEO President. “Bill is one of the most civic- and community-minded leaders I have met during my 10 years at NEO. He brings a level of excitement and energy to everything he does. I truly believe our students will appreciate the message he will bring during the 97th commencement exercise on the campus of NEO A&M College.”
