The Athletic Department at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) announced that they are now accepting nominations for the 2016 NEO Athletic Hall of Fame. “This is a very special and important aspect of NEO Athletics,” said Dale Patterson, NEO athletic director and inductee of the 2012 NEO Athletic Hall of Fame. “NEO has been very fortunate to have some outstanding athletes and coaches over the years. We are always excited to receive nominations, but can only choose a few to receive the honor. We have so many who deserve this honor.”
The NEO Athletic Department has posted a nomination form at http://bit.ly/1Tw5dKt. The form can also be accessed through the www.neoathletics.com. Both NEO alumni and the public is encouraged to nominate candidates. The nominations categories are athletics, coaches, teams, and contributors. Open nominations will be accepted until Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, when the Hall of Fame Review Committee will begin processing nominations. NEO will announce the selections in March and the induction ceremony will take place Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016 prior to the NEO versus Coffeyville football game.
NEO President Dr. Jeff Hale states, “The NEO Athletic Hall of Fame is a legacy that we are very proud of here.
