Cowgirl Magazine recently named Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College alumna Brittany Parker to the COWGIRL 30 Under 30 class of 2023.

The mission of COWGIRL 30 Under 30 is to seek out and publicly recognize young women who are making a name for themselves within the Western industry and to show how vital these young and talented women are to the industry.

Cowgirl Magazine also strives to create and grow a network of individuals who can serve as role models and mentors for the future leaders of our industry.

“Being part of COWGIRL 30 Under 30 Class of 2023 is an experience that has been second to none,” said Parker. “The weekend made me feel like the frustration, blood, sweat and tears of building a business and a farm in my 20s have all been worth it. The future of our women in the agriculture and Western industry is so bright, and it was so special being rewarded for working hard.”

Western wedding and lifestyle photographer, published author, educator, gardener, Lonesome Dove enthusiast, lifelong learner, avid reader, and dog mom can all be used to describe Parker. She graduated with her associate degree in agriculture from NEO A&M College in 2014, a bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications from the University of Arkansas, and a master’s degree in communications from Purdue University.

“My higher education journey started at NEO, and I believe it set me in the right direction to succeed in the industry I’m so passionate about,” said Parker.

In 2017, Parker wrote and self-published a coffee table book titled Tales & Traditions featuring short stories and photos she took of 15 different farming and ranching operations in her community.

Parker said, “The goal was to share the story of the Western way of life in an authentic way to reach people who may not be familiar with who produces their food.”

In 2016, Parker had the privilege of photographing the Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo. In 2017, she photographed the Miss Rodeo America pageant, and in 2018, the Cinch Timed Events Championships.

She and her husband raise cattle and hogs. They also garden to provide food for themselves and those in their community.
