Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College will celebrate Homecoming 2021 on September 24-25. Homecoming events begin on Friday, September 24 at 7:30 p.m. with an Alumni Reception at Peoria Ridge Golf Course. One notable change in the schedule this year is combining the traditional Outstanding Alumni Luncheon with the Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet on Saturday, September 25 at 11:30 a.m. in the Calcagno Family Ballroom.  All alumni and friends are invited to attend. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children age 12 and under.

This year’s Outstanding Alumni honorees are Gary Calcagno, Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Oklahoma State University; Kaz Okochi, Owner of KAZ Sushi Bistro in Washington, D.C.; and Michael Kelsey, Executive Vice President for the Oklahoma Cattleman’s Association.   This year’s Young Alumnus honoree is Rachel Pickens. This year’s Retired Faculty honoree is Ed Hammons. This year’s Award of Merit is the Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma.   The inductees into the NEO Athletic Hall of Fame are the 1991 National Championship Football Team; the 1991 National Runner-Up Women’s Basketball Team; Mike Loyd head coach of the 1991 National Championship Football Team; Jason Dickson, former NEO baseball player who played professional baseball for 10 years; and the Chuck and Ann Neal Family, for their commitment to NEO Athletics for generations. Additional information on all honorees and inductees will be released in the coming weeks.

Following the Alumni banquet, the Alumni Block Party opens at 2:30 p.m. on the east side of the Red Robertson Field.  Tickets are $15 or you can join the Athletic Alumni Association for $25, which includes also includes free admission to the block party. NEO Golden Norsemen will kick off at 6:00 p.m. against Navarro College in the Homecoming football game.  Recognition of the honorees along with inductees and the traditional coronation ceremony will take place during halftime.   Tickets for all events can be purchased by calling NEO Athletics at 918-540-6327 or email lsevere@neo.edu.
