Miami, Oklahoma – The Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College Honors Program is preparing to take a group of students on a study abroad trip to Italy and Greece at the conclusion of the spring semester. This is a first for the Honors Program.
The trip begins in Florence, Italy and concludes in Athens, Greece. Students will spend ten days exploring the halls of the Vatican, gazing upon the wonders of the Colosseum, and walking amongst the ancient ruins of Delphi.
Studying abroad provides students the chance to experience new cultures, gain exposure to new perspectives, and create meaningful worldwide relationships.
“It has been my goal to take students abroad since the inception of the NEO Honors Program,” said Keeley Adams, Honors Program director. “I am excited this goal was met, and I am grateful to our donors for ensuring students have these opportunities.”
Generous donations from local donors and contributions from the NEO Development Foundation awarded 6 students stipends for the intercultural studies trip.
