Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College released the 2024 men’s and women’s basketball schedules.
The men’s schedule includes 13 home games and 17 away games while the women’s schedule includes nine home games and 16 away games. The NEO Men’s Basketball team kicks off their season on November 1 against Central Baptist College at 7pm with the annual Toilet Paper Game and the women begin their season on the road playing Butler Community College at the Coffeyville Classic in Coffeyville, Kansas at 5pm on November 1.
“We are ready for another great year of NEO Golden Norsemen Basketball,” said NEO men’s head coach Jeremy Jackson. ” Our team has been working hard to make a run at a championship and we know it will not be easy, but we are preparing. With highly touted recruits like Jimma James, Buddy Hammer, Jamaria Clark, and Chris Mason, we have a lot of talent in the program and are very excited to see what lies ahead.”
NEO Men’s Basketball player Jimma James was voted Preseason Player of the Year and both NEO Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams are ranked number 1 in the preseason.
“We are very excited for the upcoming season,” said NEO women’s head coach Jim Rowland. “We have eight returners and six newcomers who will take the floor for us this year. These young ladies have worked hard and are preparing themselves for what lies ahead. This team can be there in the end, but we must keep our heads down and continue to work. I am excited to see them grow.
