Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) will host Dr. Raphael Moffett, vice president for student affairs at Langston University, as part of NEO’s continued celebration of Black History Month. Dr. Moffett will speak on Feb. 25 at 2 p.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium covering “Significant Contributions of African Americans in Oklahoma.” “Dr. Moffett is a motivational speaker, consultant, and coach with a strong background in leadership and student development,” said Amy Ishmael, NEO vice president of student affairs. “He has extensive knowledge about the many contributions of African Americans to the State of Oklahoma, and it is a very interesting history.”
Dr. Moffett earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Clark Atlanta University. He currently works at Langston University, the only historically black college in the state of Oklahoma. Groups from the Langston University Greek societies visited NEO earlier this month to perform step routines.
