The Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) volleyball team is headed to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II National Women’s Volleyball Tournament in Phoenix, Ariz. On Nov. 19-21. The team earned their way to the tournament by winning the District O tournament on Nov. 7. Lady Norse Volleyball defeated Longview Community College to advance to the national tournament. The team mounted an all-out attack with 47 kills, 7 service aces, and 47 digs. The game went only three sets, with NEO winning the first 25-20, the second 25-20 and the final set 25-15.
“Our girls have played very well all year. Our strength is our maturity and consistency and I felt we were able to have a great season and a great tournament because of that,” said Eric Iverson, head coach for the Lady Norse Volleyball. “Heading in the National Tournament we are going to continue to work to be in a better place.
