Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College Horse Judging coach Kevin Pool received the honorary Oklahoma Future Farmers of America state degree at the Oklahoma FFA State Convention.

The Honorary Oklahoma FFA state degree is awarded to instructors, superintendents, principals, teachers, people in business, farmers, and others helping to advance agricultural education and FFA work in Oklahoma and who have rendered outstanding service.

“It was a great honor to receive the Honorary State FFA degree from the Oklahoma FFA,” said Kevin Pool. “The FFA has been a huge part of my life, and I love the organization and the students involved.”

Pool first worked at NEO from 1993 to 2000 as an instructor. He developed the equine program and founded the award-winning NEO Horse Judging team. Pool returned in 2019 to teach the equine classes and Introduction to Agriculture Economics and to serve as the horse judging coach.
