Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College has named Adam Young the new head coach for NEO Men’s Soccer.

Young attended NEO from 2010-2012. He was a member of the men’s soccer team and was named second-team All-Conference as a freshman and first-team All-Conference as a sophomore.

“I am excited to be back at my alma mater coaching the sport I love,” said Young.

He transferred to Rogers State University, where he played soccer briefly until an injury forced him to stop competing. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in sports management and event planning from the University of North Texas.

“It is always good to bring alumni back to campus,” said NEO athletic director Joe Renfro. “Coach Young has played here. He is a faithful alum and proud to be a Norseman.”

Young worked for BSN Sports and Carrington Mortgage before coming to NEO. He has been heavily involved with soccer for the last seven years serving as a personal skills coach in the Dallas area.
