Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

NEO Grove Center is committed to providing comprehensive support services to all students and ensuring their success. This position is vital in continuing the success of the Grove Center and daily operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Administer the daily management of the NEO Grove Center
  • Communicate and coordinate with offices on the main campus to ensure proper services for students and community.
  • Provide a full range of student support services online and by telephone
  • Assist online students with learning how to navigate the student portal and online student services.
  • Assist online students with admissions and enrollment processes
  • Administer and proctor various tests for student’s advisement and enrollment
  • Serve as the liaison to campus for additional student support services available on campus
  • Provide academic advising services for online students
  • Other duties related to online student enrollment, payment of tuition and fees and maintaining accurate student records
  • Coordinate and perform administrative, programmatic and operational functions in support of online students
  • Review, evaluate and make recommendations related to program services and procedures for online students
  • Assist in process review and program development for online students
  • Supervise and coordinate front desk clerk and student workers
  • Interact with college employees, students, and outside contacts to provide information, solve problems or otherwise respond to requests
  • In the event of inclement weather, communicate local weather conditions to the Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs.
  • Conduct special assignments as requested by the Vice President of Student Affairs.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Must have strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (i.e. word processing, excel and database applications as well as on-line abilities).
  • Must have experience working with people and have a public relations orientation.
  • Must have an awareness of sensitivity to the special needs of the non-traditional student, both in credit and non-credit programs and courses.
  • Must have the ability to organize daily work procedures and perform diversified, detailed tasks.
  • Must have the ability to perform responsibilities under own initiative with minimal supervision and operate under time constraints.
