Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Lead development and annual customization of new Support Network system to provide comprehensive support for Virtual Campus students.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate Support Network pilots, supervising Near Peer Tutors (described below), NEO Mentors, and NEO Academic Coaches piloting new system
- Coordinate acquisition of resources and training at NEO to strengthen virtual campus student support
- Assist NEO Activity Director with data collection and evaluation.
- Collaborate with Activity Director and NEO staff to integrate new Virtual Campus Support Network into institutional operations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s in Advising, Counseling, or related Student Services-related discipline, required; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum three years’ experience in student services, req.; community college experience pref.
- Strong technology skills and experience with learning management and student information systems required; experience with Canvas LMS, data analytics, and Ellucian Banner preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work on a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience in addressing the needs of Native American, low income, and traditionally-underserved students preferred
