Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College will formally honor Richard Hatfield during the Outstanding Alumni Banquet on Saturday, Oct 21, at 11am in the Calcagno Family Ballroom.

Hatfield is among nine other members of his family who have attended NEO. They chose the college because it was affordable and close to home. His close relationship with college presidents from multiple four-year universities has made him realize how vital two-year colleges are. He believes it is essential for students to receive a quality education without attending a university.

Understanding the importance of a degree in today’s world, Hatfield established the Richard G. Hatfield Future Educators Scholarship Endowment in 2022 because he appreciates educators and in honor of the educators who positively impacted his life. The scholarship is available for first-generation college students from Ottawa County majoring in education.

All alumni and friends of the college are invited to attend the banquet. Tickets are $25 and $15 (children 12 and under). Purchase tickets at the door or online. https://neo.edu/homecoming

NEO homecoming festivities will take place Oct 19 – 21.
