Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for corrective/preventive maintenance and repairs of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, boiler and plumbing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for the installation, operation, and corrective and preventive repairs of HVAC/boiler systems
  • Maintain and order HVAC/boiler equipment, parts, and supplies following Oklahoma State Purchasing procedures
  • Keep adequate amount of inventory to insure proper operation of critical equipment
  • Insure campus wide HVAC/boiler systems are properly maintained and comply with all applicable State and Federal codes and regulations
  • Maintain all required records and logs and ensure they are complete and up to date
  • Must maintain a working cell phone for use during normal working hours and after-hours emergency calls
  • Have a working knowledge of modern building automation systems and be able to make necessary changes to schedules and set point configurations
  • Perform routine related inspections
  • Minor electrical installation
  • Perform any other maintenance duties or tasks as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Trade school or related college experience preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in plumbing or HVAC field
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • EPA refrigerant certification
  • Must be willing to train for Oklahoma State Boiler Certification and Repair License.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more
  • Ability to climb and maneuver a 30 foot ladder.
