Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College will formally honor Rick Chaney during the Outstanding Alumni Banquet on Saturday, Oct 21, at 11am in the Calcagno Family Ballroom.

Chaney grew up on his family’s farm in Welch, Oklahoma. He attended Welch Public Schools, where he was involved in Future Farmers of America and played football.

In 2009, he became the vice president and senior loan officer for FirstBank and served there until his recent retirement.

Chaney has served his community for the last 30 years. He was involved with the County Health Authority and the Welch Booster Club. He also served on the Tri-County Indian Nation Community Development Corporation as chairman and treasurer.

Chaney and his wife Kristi reside in Coalgate and have five children and eight grandchildren. Now retired, Chaney enjoys hunting, working with his bird dogs, and fishing.
