The Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO), Development Foundation will host its 11th Annual Fundraising Festival, Odin’s Odyssey,” on Thursday, Nov. 1 in the student union’s Calcagno Family Ballroom. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The purpose of the fundraiser is to raise money to provide scholarships, as well as student club and organization support. The event includes dinner, entertainment, and both a live and silent auction. Brian Mooney, NEO student recruiter, will serve as auctioneer.
Back by popular demand, this year’s event will feature a “celebrity dinner.” The dinner will be served by students and local celebrities excited about the opportunity to provide an entertaining evening with all cash tips benefitting NEO student organizations and scholarships. “Many of the students serving at the event will be students who have benefitted from a foundation scholarship,” said Jennifer Hessee, executive director of the NEO Development Foundation. “For several of these students, realizing the dream of a college education is only possible because they received a scholarship provided by generous supporters of the NEO Foundation.”
The auction is the largest annual fundraiser for the NEO Development Foundation. All of the proceeds earned will be returned to students. Since its inception, the auction has raised more than $165,000 allowing the NEO Foundation to assist more than 700 students with scholarships. Businesses and supporters of the college have donated hundreds of items for the auction. Among the auction items are an NEO tuition scholarship, golf packages, Big Cedar Lodge vacation package, framed artwork, spa packages, and dozens of gift baskets, just to name a few. Tickets to the event are $25 and are available at the door. For more information or to purchase your ticket in advance, please call NEO Development Foundation at (918) 540-6115.
