After kicking off the Centennial Year Celebration in February, officials at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) have announced the events for Centennial Week. Taking place the week of Founders’ Day, the annual birthday celebration for NEO, students, employees, and community guests will be able to participate in a variety of activities to celebrate 100 years of NEO!
“NEO’s Centennial year will be filled with world class speakers, events, and entertainment,” said Dr. Jeff Hale. “Donna and I are honored and excited to share the 100th year of NEO A&M College with our students and faculty, alumni, and friends of the College.”
Centennial Week will kick off on Monday, March 25, 2019, as NEO students return from spring break. NEO will host a 100-year birthday party lunch in the cafeteria and aerial photo on the campus lawn, followed by the tenth annual Top Ten Freshmen Ceremony, with a keynote by Admiral Jeff Trussler. On Tuesday, NEO will host staff and faculty night at Synar Farm. Motivational speaker Todd Frazier will kick off NEO’s 100 Acts of Kindness on Wednesday and Frank Warren will host PostSecret Live! on Thursday in the Fine Arts Auditorium as part of NEO’s Distinguished Lecture Series. Finally, NEO will dedicate a tree in memory of student Jesse Hernandez and host the tenth annual Founders’ Day Celebration on Friday.
