The ninth annual Dixie Woodall Inspirational Award at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) was presented to Miss Jennah Coffman on March 2 after the Lady Norse Basketball team defeated Redlands 90 – 67. “Jennah is the type of athlete that every coach loves to coach,” said Jim Rowland, Lady Norse head coach. “She knows her role on the team and excels at it. She is not only an extremely talented athlete and great student; she is a very remarkable young woman. The team looks to her as ‘mom’ and the glue to the team. She represents NEO and our basketball program with high integrity on and off the court and truly understands what it means to be a Lady Norse.” Coffman was chosen based on her leadership, mentorship, and motivation of her teammates and the NEO community. Each year’s honoree encourages a spirit of cooperation among her teammates and possesses a high standard of achievement in all that she attempts. Coffman is a 5’9” guard from Tuscola, Texas and is the daughter of Weldon and Paula Coffman. She will graduate in May with a Business Administration and Management degree and plans to continue her education and basketball career.
