Miami, Okla. – Monday, February 7, 2022 – The Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation provides $1,000 mini grants each year to help fund local backpack food programs and on-campus food pantries where Sodexo employees volunteer their time.

For the past two years, Sodexo has helped the NEO Student Food Pantry obtain $1,000 grants to help stock their shelves and ensure students and their families do not go hungry. Sodexo completed the application and received funding for the fourth year.

Past funds have been used to create more than 100 snack packs for students to have during Fall Break.

“The funds we received from this grant will continue to support our students for years to come,” said Keeley Adams, Success Center Coordinator and Director of the Honors Program. “We are grateful for our partnership with Sodexo and appreciate their continued commitment to our students and their well-being.”

Sodexo has also contributed to backpack programs in Miami and Commerce School districts.

“Feeding kids is my passion and I am so fortunate to work for a company that supports local initiatives and encourages employee involvement,” said Misty Snider, NEO Sodexo Administrative Assistant.
