Position Purpose
To ensure courteous and efficient services to guests while maintaining all food preparation and service standards in a safe, accident-free environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Prepares quality beverages and food products consistently for all guests by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
- Become knowledgeable of all menu items.
- Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment.
- Prepares a variety of guest beverage orders such as espresso drinks and coffee.
- Scoop ice cream to fill guest orders.
- Answers guest questions regarding coffee blends, preparation, and product freshness.
- Answers guest questions regarding ice cream flavors.
- Maintains the highest quality, consistent product standards.
- Follow all drink recipes and procedures.
- Maintain sufficient inventory of all supplies.
- Provide courteous and efficient guest service.
- Ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction and safety.
- Communicate all concerns and guest complaints to the Food and Beverage Management.
- Become familiar with casino events and promotions to accurately inform guests.
- Accept payments and operate point of sale system to track orders and record sales.
- Secure all monies in a locked bank bag and be responsible for maintaining zero balance at the end of shift.
- Operate point of sale system to track orders and record sales.
- Ensure the Sweet Shop is clean and organized.
- Restock items as needed.
- Comply with tip reporting procedures and Title 31 requirements.
- Obtain and maintain a gaming license, and food handler’s permit.
- Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.
Education/Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Requires Food Handler’s Permit.
Licensing
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
Work Requirements
Requires problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Position involves prolonged walking, stooping, or bending, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds daily. Work is performed in a casino environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
