Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION

To assist the Bookstore in the daily operations of the department.

JOB DUTIES

  • Greet and assist all customers.
  • Use cash register to purchase sales.
  • Fold, organize any and all clothing and supplies.
  • Dust and run vacuum in the bookstore.
  • Work on as needed basis for after normal hours events. Example: football games
  • Any other duties assigned by office staff

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School graduate/GED
  • Current NEO A & M student in good Academic Standing
  • Basic typing and computer skills

EVALUATION PROCEDURES

  • Performance of job duties will be evaluated on an ongoing basis by office staff.
  • Special attention will be paid to the following:
    • Getting to work on time for scheduled shifts
    • Accuracy of work performed
    • Appropriate use of time while at work
    • Greeting customers as they enter into store
    • Following assigned work schedule

SCHEDULE

  • The Bookstore will work around the student’s schedule to create an appropriate work schedule.
  • The store is open Monday – Friday 7:45am to 4:00pm, plus some Saturdays and extended after hours.
