The Foundation needs your gifts in order to continue providing students with outstanding academic experiences, to maintain qualified and committed teachers and staff and to support the needs of the college programs and events. That is our purpose in actively soliciting gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations and other organizations. To make giving easier for alumni and friends we have a variety of giving methods which allow donors to give in a way that is most fitting for them. Unrestricted contributions allow the Foundation to use your donation in a most responsive and flexible manner.
A gift of cash is the simplest and easiest method of supporting the college. Checks should be made payable to “The Development Foundation.” If you wish your gift to be designated to a particular program, department, or college, please make a notation of this on the memo line.
Stocks, bonds, certificates of deposit and other securities may be donated to the Foundation.
The core of private support for the college is annual gifts. The annual fund provides an opportunity for you to give on a regular basis to support particular interests.
These gifts are designed to raise substantial funds, which will be used to finance major projects or programs of the college. The campaign usually continues for a number of years. These gifts are generally above and beyond a donor’s annual giving level.
Gifts of Property
Some donors choose to contribute their personal residences, farmland, commercial or other property to the Foundation. Certain personal property, including works or art, books, furnishings and other valuables, may be appropriate gifts to enhance a particular discipline or one the college’s museum or library collections.
Corporate Matching Gifts
Many businesses and corporations offer a matching donation. Check with your organization to see if that is an option – it could double your contribution! All Matching Gifts received by the NEO Foundation as a result of an employee or employees’ contribution(s) will be directed to the same fund as the donor’s gift unless specified otherwise by the donor or the contributing corporation.
Memorial and Honorary Gifts
Memorial and honorary gifts are encouraged by the Foundation as generous and thoughtful ways to recognize people’s lives and accomplishments.
