NEO is very fortunate to have generous families and donors who have created scholarships to assist nursing students with their educational expenses. Application forms are available in the Nursing Department Office.
Nursing Faculty Scholarship

- Minimum overall grade point average of 2.5
- This scholarship award will be made on the basis of academic merit, clinical performance and financial need.
- Significant need (include in application a summary letter stating basis of need and a list of all other scholarships and funding received. The application will include a request for the student to keep his/her address current with the nursing department following graduation.)
- Second year student
- Scholarship to be awarded in the Fall semester.
Bobbie Wood Nursing Scholarship
- Established to honor Bobbie Woods as an outstanding member of the NEO nursing faculty.
- Minimum overall grade point average of 2.5
- Significant need (include in application a summary letter stating basis of need and a list of all other scholarships and funding received. The application will include a request for the student to keep his/her address current with the nursing department following graduation.)
- Second year student
- Scholarship to be awarded in the Fall semester.
Catherine Randall Nursing Scholarship
- This scholarship has been established by Bob Randall in honor of his mother, Catherine E. Randall.
- Awarded to a first year, full-time nursing student.
- Must maintain a 3.0 grade point average or higher.
- Selected student must be recommended by nursing faculty.
Independent Order of Oddfellows Scholarship
- This scholarship was established to provide support to the NEO Nursing Program in honor of the resolution of the Independent Order of Oddfellows of Miami.
- The candidate must be a nursing major
- Must maintain an overall GPA of 2.5
- Must be an Oklahoma Resident
Marcus Allen Bunce Memorial Scholarship
- This scholarship was established to honor the memory of Marcus Allen Bunce and assist students in the NEO Nursing program.
- Nursing student from the 4-state area (Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas or Arkansas)
- GPA of 2.5
- Must exhibit a true passion for nursing.
McFerron Family Scholarship
- This scholarship honors the years of service given by Julie McFerron to the Nursing Department of NEO A&M.
- The candidate must be a second year nursing student
- Minimum overall grade point average of 2.5
- Significant need (include letter stating basis of need with application).
Susan Graham Memorial Scholarship
- This scholarship was established in memory of Susan Graham to assist a student in the NEO Nursing program
- Minimum overall grade point average of 2.5
- Selected student must be recommended by nursing faculty.
Terri Miller Scholarship
- This scholarship was established in memory of nursing alumnae Terri Miller and organized by her family.
- The candidate must be accepted into the nursing program
- Preference to single mother
- GPA of 2.5
Jake L. Whitecrow Health Science Scholarship
- Preference to Native American students.
- 1st Year of Fast Track student.
- Must be a Health Science major.
- Maintain a 2.50 grade point average.
- Application forms are available in the nursing office.
Dr. Carol Ann Morris Memorial Scholarship
- This scholarship was established in memory of Dr. Carol Ann Morris, a nurse educator for many years at NEO A&M College who led the nursing program as the Director for multiple years. Dr. Morris influenced the lives of countless students in the area by helping them realize their dream of becoming a nurse.
- $250 per semester
- GPA of 3.0
- Significant Need
- Preference to academic accomplishment & fortitude
Carolyn Palmer Scholarship
- This scholarship was established in memory of Carolyn L. Palmer by her husband and children.
- $200 per semester
- ACT score of at least 18
- Maintain a 2.5 GPA

NEO College Scholarships and Waivers
A variety of NEO scholarships and fee waivers are available to students preparing for the nursing program as well as students enrolled in the program. For campus scholarships and other financial aid opportunities contact the Financial Aid Office.
Additional scholarships are awarded by the State of Oklahoma and local organizations. Scholarship information will be provided at the time of admission to the nursing program.
